Looking for Love
Have you ever gone on a search for something? Not a casual, easygoing search – but a long, arduous search for something really important like your checkbook or your car keys? I have a friend who had to dig through a dumpster to find a missing paycheck. And I’ve heard of people who have searched for years to find their birth parents or siblings.

Waylon Jennings sang about the ultimate search:

I was looking for love in all the wrong places
Looking for love in too many faces
Searching their eyes, looking for traces
Of what I'm dreaming of
Hopin' to find a friend and a lover
God bless the day I discover
Another heart, looking for love.

The search for true love is certainly one of the most consuming and difficult, but it’s one we all face. Maybe it’s so tough because true love doesn’t stay put like your car keys do when they’re lodged in the couch cushions – it’s slippery and elusive and sometimes it feels like the harder you search, the more it moves just outside of your reach.

Today Pastor BO is going to talk about the places we look to find true love, and finally answer the question: why do we keep looking in all the wrong places? In fact, in the course of our quest, we may just find out that WE are the missing car keys and that Someone wonderful has been looking for us all along. Wouldn’t that be the most successful search ever?

Let’s get looking!
