During this series, God gave me a fresh desire to spend more quality quiet time in His presence. He told me I need to be an Acts 6 pastor. Acts 6 is where the apostles gave primary responsibility for the management of the early church to deacons, so they could be in the word and in prayer. Please pray that I will obey.
The next weekend series at Westside was the one we finished two weeks ago: ‘Searching for God Knows What.’ We learned that the Creator wired us to find our sense of importance from someone outside ourselves. We learned that we were made to live for an Audience of One, the One who died for us. Again, the series was about our relationship with God, and with each other. God is telling me that I need to lead the way in making Westside a more relational place. Pray for me! I desperately need God’s step by step leadership in this process.
Finally, last week we talked about ‘The McDonaldization of our Spiritual Lives.’ One again God showed me that I need lead the way to a simpler, more loving, more relational lifestyle. It won’t happen without your prayers, so …
