Money talks and it lies a lot. It says, “I will make you happy.” The Bible calls that “the deceitfulness
of riches.” Money says,“Cut corners to get me.”

The Bible calls that “personal shipwreck.” Money says, “Make me the most important thing in your life.” Christ says, “Make me the most important thing in your life.”
What if every greenback (and greenback holder) took a lie detector test? Perhaps we’d have to draw a line through “In God We Trust”and put instead “In Government We Trust” or “In GDP We Trust” or “In Goals We Trust” or even “In Good Times We Trust.”
What is your philosophy about material things? Kelly Talamo reminded us last August, when he spoke at Westside that we must all choose between the word (scriptures) and the world when it comes to our philosophy of life. You and I would do well to heed the scriptures when they tell us to choose wisely our philosophy of wealth, work and wants:
"Don’t let others spoil your faith and joy with their philosophies, their wrong and shallow answers built on men’s thoughts and ideas, instead of on what Christ has said."
